1 week after the test, which was yesterday, 23/4/2025, I got an email from NCEES that the results are out.
Clicked the link and saw the green light.
“PE fire protection : Passed”
As a person who began and is still working in an EPC company, an engineer for complete fire fighting and fire alarm/detection systems for new power plants over 13 years, I felt the PE exam was relatively easy.
Everyday my job is looking up NFPA, finding clauses, commenting, replying. Same was in the exam.
NCEES doesn’t disclose any scores, but I guess I probably got 70~79 correct out of 85. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but who cares, I passed.
Next step will be completing my NCEES record. Then I will finally be able to apply for PE registration with a state board of PE which I’m considering Texas.
